Adam Zohar

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE DESIGNER

How did you first become interested in designing?

As a child I always dream to be a bridal designer, Eventually I did everything to make it come true. I didn’t study in fashion school, everything I know I learned by myself. I started to work in two bridal boutique in Israel and there I gained knowledge and experience.

When did you decide to start your own line?

When I understood that my way to go out of independence, who strengthened me and pushed me was my husband, because he believed that my name has to go out.

How would you describe your design vision?

First of all to make new collection that would be different. And always to be one step ahead. Today my designs are more complex with fabric combinations. I chose to use powder and milky colors. My brides prefer to go with the fashion side and less conservative, the demand is for couture.

Who inspires you?

Because all my dresses are present in many different country in the world, Itake inspiration from every single one of them.

How do you make each of your collections unique?

My dresses always be different from the last collection, although I always keep my signature on my design.

What is your advice to brides?

The brides always need to know her body and to know that even a wedding

dress is a clothing item for her personality.

How do you want your gowns to make a bride feel?

To make her feel like a princess.

What is your favorite design?

The dress I made for my best friend Emily (like the name of the dress), The glamorous skirt layers true silk tulle in fashionable princess look hand-sewn in a forward looking nude color. Inlays of Swarovski crystals sparkle in personally designed and handmade flowers. The bodice- made of georgette fabric structured with bones in another ultra- feminine, milky color- is developed into a modern, less conservative cut that expands, rather than follows the current fashion.
